Requesting Materials in Advance

If you would like to request materials in advance of your visit to the Gale Family Library please email us at reference@mnhs.org or call us at 651-259-3300. We require the request be submitted at least 24 hours in advance of your visit to have materials waiting for you when you arrive. (Please note that we do not check email or answer phone calls over the weekend.) Please provide the item title and call number or box number with your request. Staff will retrieve up to 5 items per researcher.
If it is less than 24 hours before your visit or you do not have the call number information you can speak with our librarians when you arrive at the library. Typical wait times for items requested on site is less than 30 minutes.
